GUY ROBUSTO
Books

Helpful reading. No body lecture.

These books can be about eating, moving, resting, thinking, or simply living well. They do not have to promise a smaller body to offer something worthwhile.

How we’ll choose books

A good premise is not enough. We’ll look at the author’s relevant experience or expertise, the quality of cited evidence, the realism of the advice, the respect shown to readers, and whether the book offers something specific enough to use. We’ll also identify when a book is personal narrative rather than professional guidance.

What we will avoid:
  • Guaranteed results and miracle timelines.
  • Shame presented as motivation.
  • One plan presented as appropriate for every body or medical situation.
  • Health claims that outrun the book’s evidence.
  • Recommendations based only on a retailer description or star rating.
